sleep paralysis

hey ya'll,I have had this experience with sleep paralysis,a few years back after my aunt died,then a few days back after my beloved boyfriend died I thought it was him haunting me and if you have ever experienced it,you should know how scary it is,so I almost experienced one today it just came, you here something lingering in you ear and all over sudden you feel your brain has gone into a state of comma but before it could control my mind,I thought of my last experience and I thought,no way I can't go into that again so it was a battle and I ended up winning,I didn't go to sleep because I didn't want to experience the demons,do anyone of you go through this? 


and if so,how do you control it?

Sarah, I have experienced it, a couple of times. It's scary. There was no controlling it - I just woke up (in a cold sweat). I try and write down, the next morning, everything I can remember about the dream. Sometimes, actually most times, I can more clearly "see" what my brain is trying to tell me. It does help. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Marsha

I've probably had this sleep paralysis at least 100 times over 25 years. I would feel like I was awake and then I would hear someone walking into the bedroom. The next thing I knew I was being pushed on my chest very violently into the bed. I wanted to scream but couldn't. Felt like I was wrestling with Satan. Very terrifying. When it stopped my chest would ache for half an hour. Lucky for me it seems to have stopped in my late 40's and hasn't returned.

I forgot to mention that eventually I started to say in my mind very strongly "leave me alone in the name of Jesus" when it was happening. I couldn't say it out loud because I was paralysed. Then it seemed to stop. I would also try very hard to resist it by trying to move. Hope this helps.

I have had this too and it is petrifying. After both husbands have died it seems as though they wanted me with them to me. I thought my first husband was trying to kill me . Now i think they are both here but with love and thats scary too because i wonder if i am going insane.
