Looking back I now realize by my past words, motions, and thoughts I was worried about Rogers health. He seemed to slow down, be more spacey in thoughts and movements, I told several people they pooped me, including his closest son. But I remember I just felt he needed to get into a dr for a good check up, I bugged him it never happened.
Would he be here? Large placket plugged his main artery - could be but than again if God wanted him that day it was his time.

NOW MY MOM, age 84, nausea, stomach pains, can not seem to find cause test after test, losing weight under 100 lbs (shes 4'9) after Christmas dinner I came home & now I have that same shuddering feeling I just did not act upon with Roger. I called my sister and brother and told them I do not have a good feeling now. My sister will come from Oregon to WA tomorrow, see if we can shake some drs up....dunno

on one hand, like you said, when God wants you, that's it...but on the other hand, follow your gut feelings, get her to a dr and hopefully they can find out what it is and correct/fix it and make her remaining time however long it is to be without pain and worry. keeping you and her in my thoughts and prayers....hugs, Sandi

My mother's 84 too - has stomach trouble a lot - pain - diarhea (sp?), - etc. etc. - but she's been that way for many years - so - she says it is just getting older. I dunno... Hope it works out -- keep us informed.

A friend's mother had the same, stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea and it turned out to be a side effect of her medication.

I'm with Sandi - trust your gut. However, it must have been your dear hubby's time. God doesn't make mistakes (not that it makes things any easier - it still hurts!)

Go with your instincts - hopefully it's something simple - I pray that it is. I like what you said about ''shaking up some Dr's'' - be a strong advocate and keep questioning. As far as your husband - my husband went to the dr. had checkups, went to the gym, ate sort of right, etc. Don't beat yourself up with second guesses - it will eat you alive. Just do the best you can do. I know that God has a plan for us, and although I'm not exactly a fatalist, I know that you can't change what happened. Just keep on keeping on. GOOD LUCK Vicki

In emergency rm most of day with Mom. Tests so far nothing, some blood work still coming. They think she is still recovering from her gall bladder surgery done in Sept. Her gall bladder was diseased and dead by time they got it out. But told her to drink ensure, slim fast, muscle milk to keep her strength up while trying to eat something. Shes lost 20 lbs last 2 1/2 months, just too sick to eat when she does gets stomaches and sick to stomach. Than theres the 84 yr old factor - sigh. My heart goes out to you and your mom. My sister and I took care of our 80's something mother. Their bodies have been through so much in their lifetime and it gets very frail and heals slowly. I pray things will get better each day. Prayers going up now.
