So sorry about the loss of your dog. Dogs are so loyal, and so steady. It's hard to find such a good friend in human form. If it helps, perhaps she is keeping your husband company now. I had to put my dog down almost 4 years ago and I miss him still, but it warms my heart to think about him now.

It will probably take time to adjust to living with your dad. Perhaps you should give each other lots of space to get used to the idea.

I know how you are feeling. I have lost pets before and it is heartbreaking...but you had to go through losing your dog so soon after your husband left and now you are having a bad time living with your father. I can understand how alone you feel. I am so sorry. Just like Amy said, I do believe your dog is with your husband, being petted and loved by him. Hopefully thinking of this will ease the pain some.

I wish you only the best for your relationship with your father. I have no advice on that...only to let you know I am praying for your situation.

I am so very sorry. It's a horrible thing to have to do. After going through it twice, I don't know how you had the strength to move on the same day. Something tells me thought that she's romping happily with your husband now. Too many changes in too short a time. May tomorrow be better....

I'm sorry to read about your companion pet. You are right, they are there for us and seem to sense and share our feelings. My husband had two that he had to put down some years back. I hadn't thought of it before, but like loveandgrace suggested, perhaps they're all together, now. I give you my sympathy

Putting an animal down, can be a very sad time. Remember you did the right thing by the dog - no one wants to see something they loved so much suffer. I am sure your DH is enjoying the company. Please hang in there, better days on sure to come.
