I got it too. It was "ImmortalSloth". I deleted it.

Digitalfeeling left me one. Didn’t recognize the name so I didn’t respond.

After 6 years, I get a friend request from otillie03103. i'm doing well these days and haven't checked in here in a long while -- but I often think of those who are here and are freshly indoctrinated into this horrible club. I promise the darkness won't last forever.

The tech and admin folks are trying to figure out the best way to deal with this. The Profiles that have been hijacked are legitimate members who left a year or two ago, so their accounts were dormant. Somehow these spammers figured out how to target those accounts, and they are automatically sending out friend requests from those hijacked profiles.

We have not found any active accounts that were affected, just dormant ones.

I will update as soon as I hear anything further. You can keep reporting the profiles you get requests from, don't respond to them or accept them.

That's a good question, and I don't know the answer. We do know that whatever the hackers are doing, it inserts the sex website address on your Status line and then it sends out random friend requests. You might get notification about friend requests that happen if you are receiving notifications in your e-mails.

Hopefully, just posting today will have them pass you by.

We've noticed they are looking for accounts where nothing has been posted for a year.
