Just needing to chat with like people to help me over the pain of being alone. Wife passed away Feb 26

I know what you're going through. My husband passed away 5 days before your wife. Your wife may be physically not in your presence, but she is with you in spirit, and her memory lives in your heart. My prayer for you is that our Lord holds you in His hands, and guides you so that some day soon, this immense grief is overshadowed by happy memories, and you will be able to recognize how truly lucky you were to have known her love, with wonder, not grief.

Yes it is only with the Lord's help that I've made through this. It has helped the she was totally coherent up until the morphine finally put her asleep. We had a real good talk

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know the feeling of needing to connect with others who have gone through this. I lost my husband of 30 years almost 18 months ago. Reaching out on this website helped me to know that other people had survived this tremendous loss. I've come to realize that grief takes time, a lot of time. And it changes back and forth. With time the ups and downs are not as drastic, although they have not completely disappeared .At least that has been my experience. In the very beginning you need to allow yourself to rest and take care of you, try to eat, drink water and exercise if possible . Grief or bereavement groups may help. Come to this site to seek help and encouragement from some amazing people. I wish you peace.

Yes the hardest thing is forcing myself to keep busy not forgetting to eat . Rest is an issue for sure the body just does not want to shutdown at night.

I understand, even though I am very new here as well. this is where we can come and figure out how to live again.... one "night" at a time.
Lurch0
For sure Betts we do need each other for strength to get us through our pain. I hope this group helps us both through these tough times.

LOL.... look like you are learning to weed out the 1 %... congrats!!!!!

its crazy we come here because we feel the need of comfort from others? never thought I would be here, but I am & I am in the anger stage, no time for sharing my stories with desperate idiots that climb into this website for pure enjoyment! why are they still here on earth????????
Lurch0
Sorry totally misunderstood what I wanted to say. I guess I not cut out for this . I will not try to chat anymore
Gatormom
Betts: Lurch0 came to this site, for the same purpose you did, as you clearly stated in your post above "because we feel the need of comfort from others". I am sorry for your loss, but with that said, you need to show more empathy, less hostility and more respect to other posters, treating them in same manner as you expect to be treated. I get that you're angry, it's one of the 5 stages of the loss/anger stage. Depending upon where we are in the grieving journey, we've either all been there, or will be at some point. However, there is no excuse for you to use profanity towards others. As a former psych nurse, I encourage your to seek professional help, for your anger and hostility as well as for hearing dead people speak.

Thanks you Gatormom I just want to chat

Lurcho, although I am very new to this group, I need to chat with people who are going through the the same hell as me. I believe that's why we joined this group. Peace and a hug

I lost my husband almost 6 months ago, everyday has been a struggle, we were married for 40 years, and they were none perfect. I think the perfect marriage does not exist, only in someones mind. You are always going to have disagreements that is only human. And I want to be honest by saying, my marriage was not perfect, it was work, rewards, tears, anger and lots of prayers.
