I am visiting my niece for the weekend and her new daughter born last Saturday. Martin's niece also had a baby last Friday, a son. Both are much wanted and loved.

Today I go to the beauty shop. And after that I may do a little shopping, then come home and water my container flowers.

Thanks for this, Mel. I agree about the weather - it's raining cats and dogs, but it's cool enough to have windows and door open, and for August! I love it. I have Pandora on, and just finished a loud, off key and satisfying rendition of Vehicle (Ides of March, you can't not sing along to this). I'm here and I'm healthy. That's enough for me! Marsha

My sister had a liver transplant on July 15. She is at home and doing well. What a blessing! She had been on the list for a while.

I live in SE TX and am sitting on the porch enjoying the same unusual cool weather. It's more like Oct. or Nov. The weekend is here, I've got nothing planned and for the first time in a long time the prospect of that doesn't seem bad. Things might look different by this time Sunday but, like the weather, I'm good.

Beka that's great! glad she's doing well. Today a friend came over to help with some computer problems, and then my nephew called and helped me a lot with my website. so my work website is all new and live (I sew competition suits for bodybuilders. It's not a website for the faint of heart. ;) ). But I had completely ignored the site for 3 years and finally got back to it and updated it. that I could focus to do this, I guess, is a blessing. the help certainly was. -Judy

On Fridays I have lunch with two friends (we work within two blocks of one another) and today was the first time I truly enjoyed myself, for an hour I was the old me. Surprise? Yes. Blessing? Most definitely!

I worked all day cleaning. My house isn't perfect and neither am I. I am so excited about the party tomorrow! Excited about a baby! Excited about stupid games! (The next shower is coed and I found a game called "Bobbing for Nipples". It's funny.)
I am going to have 2 grand babies in October! One boy, one girl! Wow! I still can't believe it! And on my own? Yes! I don't have to share! Lol! (Mike was a baby hog!)

Getting ready to start school again. Had a great day dragging my boys shopping!!! They are such characters. Rained today here in South Louisiana but then it cleared up and was quite nice!!! My boys are learning to drive!! Pray I make it through this stage!! Richard always taught the kids, so now I get these crazy boys to teach!!

Good morning Mel, I will take just waking up as a good sign. But I am also out of the senester of school that rocked my own stability for a while. Now just waiting on the grades. But no matter what they are I am more proud that I made it through the first year. Now a few days of playing catch up. Then tomorrow is the Gallery walk in our "Old Town district" So many Art shows and a farmers market!.
I will be looking at the displays with the new knowledge of my art and design classes. So some coffee this morning and the relax and recover day I need. So tomorrow I can feed my creative heart.

I went on a trip with one of my senior groups to a very large flea market and had a wonderful time just getting out of the city. Upon my return, I got on the computer and there was a picture of my grandson who just proposed to his girlfriend. Beautiful ring.

It's wonderful to see this group moving along and beginning to enjoy some things in life no matter how small! Baby steps I was told.
I too am grateful for good friends, my son getting married. My upcoming trip to NY for the wedding and to see my " big" grands.
and my trip to Ct. To see daughter and younger grandkids! I'm healthy and doing much better generally!
