You aren't alone my friend
You are not alone. Happens to me all the time. One minute I'm fine, and the next minute I'm sobbing uncontrollably. The grief is beyond overwhelming. We are not only grieving the loss of our spouses, but the loss of our lives as we knew it. Our hopes and dreams, our companionship, poof, all gone. Our sense of security. Someone to share our joys with. The list goes on and on. I think I am still numb.
BTW...my husband and I were planning a move to Colorado when he was diagnosed with cancer. We had been trying to move there for several years, and he finally had a good job offer. Now I just don't know what to do....

lori001 said it better than I could have. Yes, it happens to me too. And for all the reasons she mentioned.
I was supposed to grow old with Kim. I don't know who I am without her. And I hurt all the time because, quite honestly, I am lost without her. And, I have not yet forgiven myself for taking all that was wonderful and unique about her for granted.
Mostly, it is the small things that devastate me now. And I have no clue when they will hit...it is like being sucker punched all day long.
