I wear our wedding rings on a necklace, I would always spin it around on his finger so every night I spin it around mine, knowing I have it on gives me a little closeness to him.
I also, talk to him in hopes he hears me.
Hugs to you and I hope you find some peace.

I had dinner with two friends last night and they were gushing how great I looked, said I looked so happy etc. All I could think was who they heck are they talking about. My inside does not match the outside. They are both fortunate to have their spouses...they don't have a clue about loneliness or grief. We all understand. Sending a hug...
Carla, I'm happy that you got a fingerprint! That's cool! I didn't know that was a possibility. Michele, I cannot take his ashes to the crematorium as I live in a different state. I suppose I could take them to a funeral home but, true confession, I have a serious phobia of those places. I'm serious. Like and all-out-panic-attack-irrational-crazyperson-freaked-out-type of attack, so that's out of the question.
Aaaaaaghhhhh.........
As I sat in the car, holding them in their mailing box, feeling that strange closeness that the ashes bring, I suddenly felt the craziest sensation, a light heartedness, an uprising sensation, his joyful exuberance!! It felt, and I know how this sounds so crazy, but it felt as if he came out of the ashes and sat next to me in the car. It felt as if he was saying "I am staying with you."
So... I held the box in my arms and got out of the car and ... it felt as if we walked into the mailing facility "together." The woman who sent his remains away was so kind to me as I wept, she just silently held my hand. What an angel. But her computer kept crashing. She kept saying "that is so strange, it never crashes, I can't figure out why it keeps doing this." I thought ... well ... sweetie, maybe it is your spirit crashing her computer!
