It's been a little more than 12 weeks for me, and I am finding it very hard to deal with...I keep expecting him to come around the corner, or give me shit for staying up half the night...
I hope these storms pass for all of us, and I'm glad you got some peace from it...I like storms too, when we have them...which is almost never.
Glad the stormy weather brought you peace.
And reading what people post on this site on Dailey Strength is a big help too.
We were getting ready to go out to dinner with friends when he had his fatal car accident, probably due to stroke or heart issue.
In the beginning being alone on a Friday night was the worst because we often went out to dinner or stayed home with a great bottle of wine, charcuterie plate, bread and cheese...and music. Maybe fire in the fireplace.
One thing that has been very helpful is having people over on Friday and cooking a nice meal. It's kept me busy shopping, chopping, cooking, setting a pretty table, and having company. I like to cook and we both loved to entertain, so even doing it without him has been therapeutic for me. I hate being alone on Friday night.
Expect your feelings to change just like the weather. You will have good, bad, indifferent and even some joyful days again.
I wish you peaceful and thoughtful days ahead!
