Here's another upsetting thing - he mentioned (again) that he was mad about the time we decided to meet for pizza (8 mos ago) and my neighbor ended up coming too. He knows my neighbor - invites her to his own parties - plus she invited herself along bc her husband was out of town. He said he was upset because we have not had any time to talk "freely" and "alone" since my husband died. That was 1 1/2 yrs ago - that's certainly not my fault. I'm available any time for dinner - even said I would meet him at a restaurant near his place - yet he never sets a date. He's a landlord -doesn't have a set schedule.
This all started because he was upset because I didn't respond to a picture he sent to my phone on a day a tornado touched down in my town and electricity was out for 4 days. Geez - I'm glad I'm not married to him.
I should mention too - he has always been rather overweight and most recently has had lots of health problems. A few months ago his heart actually stopped when he was in the hospital for pneumonia is now on lots of heart medication and he's mentioned he's concerned he won't live till 60. I've known him 30 yrs - I don't know if he has changed - or maybe it is because when I saw him before my husband was there and he acted different. I need to read over what people say and take their advice - I need to stop getting so upset over what my "old" friends are doing and saying. thanks
You said it all so well! I can't add a thing, except I feel exactly the same.
hugs...
