We are the group that nobody wants to join especially us.
We are not happy to be here.
Waking up after a really good dream ruins our day.
Waking up after a bad dream ruins our sleep and day.
Waking up ruins our day
Waking up seems overrated
Sometimes our own breathing really pisses us off.
We would love to here that same joke or story for the ten thousandth time.

Waking up and not having him say "good morning sweetheart."

Waking up and not seeing him read the newspaper and having his cup of coffee;

Waking up and facing another day alone without the love of my life to be at my side, sharing a laugh, a story, breakfast, lunch and dinner, holding hands.

That's it, Britt, waking to the smell of coffee and the sound of the TV downstairs...the mind plays tricks sometimes..I wake up and hear it and smell it, and I think "Good, it was just a nightmare after all"...as soon as I think that, I come fully awake, the smell and the sound are gone...and I realize I was wrong...boo-koo-sucks, man..

looking at the clock on friday nights at about 6:45pm with the anticipation of sean walking in the door, to say hi baby and kiss me. Then Monday mornings, after seanhugs and kisses me goodbye for the day and then leaves at 10 til 6am, to miss him already as I hear his diesel truck going by our home. Thoughts of the memories, just sometimes are too much.

Going for a ride on my Harley and looking next to me and she is not there. She always rode on my right side or she was in my mirror.
I miss getting home and slamming a shot and toasting to a great day's ride.
I still yell "Sweetie" and can hear her say "what babe" "I love you" "I love you too babe"~Pete

Here to the group we did not want to join but had to in order to survive what for most, has been the biggest blow to our identity.
Having to face that we are no longer part of us and having to rediscover who "I" is .
Because of this group , finding the strength to take a hard look in the mirror and discover something in us long buried.
Becoming a source of support while still requiring support...
