Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Check out YouTube for "Hold to God's Unchanging Hand" by Lindell Cooley. It is a beautiful video - and encouraging to me.

Keep you head up, keep your faith, that things will happen in God's time and not yours. I know it's easier said than done.

The purpose was there for you to learn from and if you can not learn from it, yes ask Him to show you what He wants you to learn from it.
We all will have a chance in our lives to hear God speak to our hearts from others or directly from a act of God in our lives. It is the little voice we hear that tells us either that it is good to do or should we not do it.
It is that time in our lives if we turn away from that voice what determines our fate. Just as Jesus explained how to get to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matthew 22:1-14
1 Jesus also told them other parables. He said,2 The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son.
3 When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. But they all refused to come!
4 So he sent other servants to tell them, The feast has been prepared. The bulls and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the banquet!5 But the guests he had invited ignored them and went their own way, one to his farm, another to his business.
6 Others seized his messengers and insulted them and killed them.
7 The king was furious, and he sent out his army to destroy the murderers and burn their town.8 And he said to his servants, The wedding feast is ready, and the guests I invited arent worthy of the honor.9 Now go out to the street corners and invite everyone you see.
10 So the servants brought in everyone they could find, good and bad alike, and the banquet hall was filled with guests.
11 But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasnt wearing the proper clothes for a wedding.12 Friend, he asked, how is it that you are here without wedding clothes? But the man had no reply.
13 Then the king said to his aides, Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
So many will not listen to that voice and go on with their self and turn away from him, but we all be called up to Him on that day and if one who is not prepared for it, will be turned away.
Yes, asking God to show you and he will let that little voice speak to you and that is how you will find your purpose or calling in life.
Your life may all lead up to this one calling, you could feel you wished you had heard it along time ago but God has turned that life to a testimony that will touch others.
That testimony along with Faith in Him and reading His word and asking Him to Lead you to what He wants of you will be answered.
After you do know and start to do the work that you are asked by Him to do, you will feel a Peace beyond any peace you ever felt in your life.
That is where I am now. I have started to do my calling and I know I now have that peace knowing my loved ones are not suffering and with Him. I have no idea where my calling will lead me but I trust in God to guide me and lead me home to Him through it. Yes, it is not easy road, there will be suffering but it is all for His glory, as God has promised those who suffer in the name of Christ will be by his side in Heaven.
Romans 8:17 (NLT)
And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of Gods glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
Nicker, He knows your heart and the answers will be coming from Him and you will be so amazed of the Peace you will feel when you start to do your calling.

I'm only on my first cup of coffee, but I'm smiling already!
I prayed just for God to show me how to keep going, and to help me make the right decisions for my boys. I finally decided to come to a truce with God over how Cliff was taken and why. God knows exactly how I feel about it, but it didn't do me any good hanging onto my anger about it. My why questions may never fully be answered, but I have found enough answers in the meantime.
I hope you find your answers, too.
Love and Hugs, Martha
