Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
also, please drinks LOTS of water! I didn't, and became very dehydrated in the beginnings of this journey. Try to sleep when you can, and also eat when you can. Grief takes so much out of the body both mentally and physically in the beginning especially!!
I hope all turns out ok, and there is nothing wrong, other than the obvious.

For me, I am suffering from anxiety still. It has tapered greatly but in the beginning it was out of control. Lack of sleep, dehydrated like Diane mention..insomnia, chest pains, heart palpitations, nausea because all the stress lands in my stomach too. Clenching my teeth while I slept. I was prescribed drugs for insomnia and anxiety...and a mouth guard my dentist made because I was grinding my teeth down.
Prior to this I was not a stressed out person with anxiety.....I ordered a DVD on meditation....it should arrive by weeks end.
I do feel disconnected...mainly from Bola being killed and some from Lupus.
Do take extra care of yourself....the stress from grieving does take a toll on your body. Try taking deep breaths and exhaling slowly through you nose..sometimes it helps me.
Tight hugs....

Please take whats happening to you seriously. See a doctor and take care of yourself.
My Mom, who was pretty frail when my Dad died only lasted 18 months after his death. Grief definitely is an assault on the body.
I should take my own advice. Be sure to see your doctor.
If you trust your primary care MD then it wouldn't hurt to see him/her.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as we travel this road together.
