Pennies from Heaven

I honestly believe this...............

I found a penny today
just laying on the ground
but it's not just a penny
this little coin I've found

"Found" pennies come from heaven
that's what my Grampa told me
he said angels toss them down
oh, how I loved that story

He said when an angel misses you
they toss a penny down
sometimes just to cheer you up
make a smile out of your frown

So don't pass by that penny
when you're feeling blue
it may be a penny from heaven
that an angel tossed to you.

I don't know the author but I have loved this for many years.

I heard the poem as a child and have not seen it probably since then. Thanks for sharing it. It brought back nice memories and made me smile.

It is so weird that this was the first post I seen upon signing in. I'm at the one month mark today and while I was sweeping the floor, I found a penny lying behind the pet food near the computer I'm always sitting at. I thought of this poem right away. Thank you so much for posting this. God Bless

It can be very comforting .. since I was a child, my grandma always talked about pennies from heaven and the angels watching over us. My grandma passed away 5 days after Rob on Mothers Day so finding that penny was very comforting to me. BTW, the date of the penny was the year Rob and I got married.
