It's been 9 months for me and I think I am just figuring out how to grocery shop for one. I used to buy something different for every meal and never ate half of it because I had leftovers that lasted for days. I realize now that if I buy a pack of chicken breasts that have 3 pieces in it I have 3 maybe 4 meals.
Even though it's more expensive I buy vegetables that are already cut up instead of a whole head of broccoli. It's usually a smaller portion and I find that I can eat that amount and don't have to throw anything out.
I also enjoy cooking and it was hard to actually cook a meal but I am back to doing that and I and back to enjoying it. I don't like the cleaning up part, that was always my husbands job.
I've been making sure to have dinner company at least once a week, so I can cook for friends or family. That's helped quite a bit.
Hang in there, Girldawg. And keep cooking!
