Since I'm moving next week(depending on movers and other leasing company variables), I'll be leaving my beloved new pup with my father. I'd orinally purchased the dog for him as I'd always planned to move out in a year. I just didn't expect to bond with the little devil so much.

Today, I feel good because I'll get to have her visit once in a while. Sort of like visitation. I can also keep an eye on my father when I visit him. It'll work out great for all of us. That way the poor dog won't be locked in the house by himself all day while I work. He'll get to run around a large fenced backyard and have a lonely retiree there to keep him company. He's already housebroken and I've hired a dog walker as my father is in recovery for his foot operation. I just feel good about the whole thing.

So, far, it's a go with getting my apartment. Just a little red tape left. The biggest decision left for me now is rather I should go 1st floor or 2nd floor. I think I'll post separately to get you guys opinion.

I think I'll love being a part-time dog mom. I'll get to have all of the fun and very little of the financial expence and so forth. My dad is already planning to buy dog health insurance, which I had on my last dog. He's going to keep the dog walker I found for him in case of emergency. She'll be there to fill in the gap for the dog in case my father is too tired to walk her or just wants a break.
