Ours were Stairway to Heaven by Zepplin and Together by Nugent (We never could agree on which one was our song, so we agreed to have two songs).

When we celebrated our 25th anniversary, our daughter made a DVD of our wedding pictures and on through our years, all with the song "look at us by Vince Gill" absolutely said everything at that time. I haven't been able to watch it again yet but starting to think I may sooner than later.

Thanks for such a beautiful thread. G and I had many many songs, and "our song" was Fly me to the moon. Always loved that song, and had so many others that remind me of him. I've always loved music, and it took me some time to listen to it again. One song though, for me says it all. It's the song I walked to him to become his wife. We were BOTH huge Beatle fans, and there was no question what that song should be. "In my life" by the beatles. I haven't listened to that song until this morning. I could picture that whole ceremony, and the happiness of that day. Thank you for reminding me of it!!!

We loved music, so a lot of songs. But the one that he would always sing to me, or make sure we always danced to was Chris DeBurgh - Lady In Red. My son danced it with me at my nieces wedding in May and we were both crying through it.

Our official song was "Always" and it was sung at our wedding by two 80+ year olds from our church. However, J was my music box and there was practically no music he disliked. My taste is pretty widespread too, though right now I'm having a fling with Sacred Harp music. It deals with death and Heaven a lot. You can find it on youtube. Very powerful worship and praise music.

Reading this thread about"our" songs gave me the strength to listen to Modern English's - I Melt With You from the movie Valley Girls (as proclaimed to be our song by my hubby - not sure if it was because he was from California or that we were as mismateched as the charcters were but doesn't matter as we had a wonderful 21 years of marriage) Guess I'm going to have to buy the movie to watch now as well.

"Don't Tell Me Goodnight" by LOBO. We lived the song in our marriage and we never told each other goodnight instead we said nighty night.

Our song was "Amazed" by Lonestar. It still hits me the same way every time I hear it. In my mind we are still dancing together and in each others arms....Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to listen to it now.

Happy Anniversary memories to you! My husband and I both really enjoyed music of all kinds. We never really had "our song" I guess...but there are sooo many songs that make me cry and remind me of HIM! (The kids even made a CD of "his songs" that they played in the car on the way to the gravesite right after the funeral.) After he died I found myself crying in the car all the time because so many songs reminded me of him or were simply about losing someone. One of my friends suggested to me I should quit listening to the radio for awhile. I never did, but I do change the channel at times. Songs can be so powerful!
