This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
It has been one year today that the love of my life for 40 years, my Lil Bear, passed away. I want to thank all my DS friends for getting me through this year, it has been difficult beyond belief. I have never met, in person, a single one of you but I cannot even put words to the depth of caring and understanding I have found here.
As I begin the journey out of the darkness there is some joy in my life again and I know I will be OK. As part of my coming to terms I took a few dozen of my favorite photos and set them to music. This has been a project I have been working on for the last couple of months, trying to make it really represent what we had together. I found that the process helped me come to terms with her absence and now I can watch the slideshow and smile remembering the times captured in the images. I share them with you for a glimpse of Diana.

What a loving tribute. Two words came to mind as I watchedKindred Spirits. It's easy to see in the pics how very much was shared between you. Between the pics and the music, it's apparent that this was a project borne out of deep love, respect, and sorrow. Blessings to you as you move forward. What a memorable loving tribute to your love. I might add has anyone else noticed how much alike you look? Both good looking I might add. Thanks for sharing. Your 1 yr anniversary gives us hope towards coping better.
