This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
The details have been worked out for the Ohio Autumn DS Gathering. I hope you will consider joining us. It will be a day to connect and put a face with a nameat last!!! As I've mentioned before, the other get-togethers have been great fun and uplifting. I think it surprised all of us how quickly we bonded. Conversations ranged from lighthearted and fun loving to camaraderie between determined survivors. What a special group of people the DSers arekindhearted, supportive, and compassionate.

November 12-14. The main day being Saturday, November 13, 11:30 a.m.
WHERE:
The Gathering will be held at my house (address to be given by private message), hoping that all of you can stay for a bonfire in the evening. Remember those S'mores!!!!
LODGING:
Hampton Inn, 11484 Allen Road, Jeffersonville, OH 43128 (1-71 Exit 65 @ Route 35) (740-948-9499), $80.10, not including tax. This includes a hot Continental Breakfast.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
To receive the special price, there is a Code to mention when making your reservations. Please contact me by private message, and I will be glad to give you that Code. If we are not yet friends, please make a friend request so that I can give you additional information privately.

Oh that would be terrific if you could share a ride with someone to Ohio for the Autumn Gathering.

Just keep repeating "I can do this, I can do this." The drive isn't nearly as scary as what you are thinking. Just about 4-lane all the way with McDonald's at almost every exit. That should give you a feeling of security--to know that Mickey D's is just down the road. Yay!!!! You and your "Jill" will have a good time on the road. TJ
Bumping this to the top for those who might like to join the Gathering. So far, there are 11 who are planning on attending and two who are uncertain.
Come on, DSers, we need a nice relaxing weekend to enjoy the beautiful autumn season before we get snowed in for the winter.

It would be great to have you 'easteners' come visit the land of corn and soy beans; aka, 'mid-west.' Just for kicks, we could even give it a pseudo-name of the Ohio Hoedowntoo much, huh? OK, back to the Ohio Autumn DS Gathering.
Come on folks, take that leap of faith and come join us. And, just a question, but don't the guys out there in DSland drive? Honest, we aren't scary. Dave (oatsguy) will attest to that.
