I posted this on the WW board. Wanted to post it here also in hopes of letting new folks know there is healing for everyone. Takes time.

I brought her flowers just because it was Tuesday and it made her smile.

Brought home little trinkets that sparked memories and made her smile.

Shared house work not to overburden her,because I loved her.

Gave her back and foot rubs because it brought her pleasure.

Held her hand to let her know I was always there.

Held her in my arms tightly to stop her trembling and give her my strength.

Kissed her lips tenderly because she was a lady.

Looked at her with eyes that held her precious in their sight.

Held her in the dark to protect her against a cruel harsh world until she fell asleep in my arms.

Shared unselfish intimacy because we were in love with the other.

Woke first in the morning to prove to myself it was real and watched her sleep.

Protected her heart with my life because she trusted me with it.

Unconditional devotion and love because she deserved it.

I've never been a pretty boy but she made me a beautiful man.

And because she is better off with her God in paradise I have found peace and acceptance.

And I have let her go because I love her.

Healing is possible in time.

You will live this life in honor of them because you love them.

Your wife was truly blessed as was I. It is my first Easter without him, and would have been his first as a believer. I miss him so very much.

I think my husband was a lot like you-- generous, protective, helpful, ultra-strong yet with feelings, but also jealous. I found that picture with John Cena advertising trash bags. My husband liked WWE ( I can't stand it.) He said he went to pro wrestling school and almost became one. Anyway I put the ad on my refrig. today and wrote on it: "ultra-strong but not strong enough" My husband suffered through so many procedures, surgeries, infections, conditions, drugs and Hospitals But After 5 Months through different hospitals he couldn't survive the last one. I was HIS protector at this time (he said he was dependent on me) and I could not protect him to the last. I was deceived about something he got, thought it wasn't dangerous, didn't investigate it and he died.

I never copy anyone else writings. I write from what God sends me and from my heart. This He put on my heart one night driving to work.
But it was easy because it is about Linda.

Your wife will always be a part of you Tim. Always with you forever,how can she not be with the love you shared. I hope you can gather strength from that,these thoughts help me in my time of need. ( Hugs)

Thanks for the replies everyone. When God puts something on your heart to write you have to put it down. But I was the one who was blessed. Its easy to express feelings for one you gave your heart to.
We were all blessed with the ones we had.
