Today is my 67th birthday. Although sad that Joe has been gone for almost 3 years, I know he would want me to celebrate and be happy.
Yesterday I was in Home Depot looking for some hardware and parts for a project I am working on. I had no other thoughts in my mind than that. For some strange reason, a beautiful plant caught me eye. I moved over to that area and gazed at the flowering plants and colorful foliage of other plants. Before I knew it, I had loaded my cart full of beautiful plants. Joe loved all kinds of flowers. Whenever we went camping, one of the things he always did in setting up camp was to scour the woods for wildflowers to pick and put in a glass on our table. He just loved flowers!
By the time I got home, I realized that Joe had probably prompted me to get some beautiful flowers to plant in honor of my birthday FROM HIM!! I will always be guided by things he loved and I love them, too!
Joe, THANKS FOR THE FLOWERS!! They will always call out your name and honor you. When I see them, I will see YOU in them!
