Here I go again. I start yet another new job tomorrow. Please pray for me that is one works out. It is doing what I know and the people seem very nice and this time I was upfront about the sadness I am feeling due to the loss of Brad.They said they understand and I did have warm fuzzies after interviewing with several different people. I do not want to sit here all day and watch HGTV and so I pray this one works. The money will help since the daily bills are piling up. Another huge step for me is I am going to lunch today with 2 new friends (neighbors) who both have lost their husbands so they have been where I am at. I know it seems like a little thing but it is huge for me. Today is 5 months since I lost my very best friend and soul mate so I hope taking a step forward helps ease the pain a little? Maybe it will make me feel worse but at least I am trying, right?

I found that working actually helped. It let's you act like a normal person, and work is good in general. We were not meant to just spend our time watching HGTV, as you say.

I believe that work, if performed in the spirit of service to humanity, and trying to do your best, can be considered as worship. Just like prayer.

I write software programs for a small manufacturing company. Lol, my company makes paint for the plastic parts of cars and motorcycles. Those products are hardly critical for the survival of humanity. However, my programs help my company stay in business, and keeps the people who work there employed so that they can support their families. So I go into work with the idea that I am helping all those people, and that God will accept my efforts as such.

So, enjoy your job, and it's good for you :)

Good for you on two fronts. The job will help with having a daily purpose and lunch with a chance for new support. How can we feel worse? Like you said, it is a huge step for you, and in the right direction. Blessings, Doreen

Good luck on your new job it sounds like a good match. Any step forward is great. Sometimes all we can handle are small steps. You sound as though you are doing what you can and I wish you great success.

I hope the best for you on the new job! It sounds like this may be the right one for you, you seem to have gotten a good feeling from the interview. New friends, lunch how wonderful and they are people who have been down the path of losing a spouse, hopefully it will all turn out good for you n both fronts.

I'm very excited for you on both counts. Having a job that you like should help and having 2 neighbors who "get it" , I'd be happy if I could find one !

I will add you to my prayers. I think it's great that you are trying to get out and make friends. To start a new job is a huge step into helping yourself. To keep busy in a positive way. Good luck!

I am sure you will do well in your new job. Think positive thoughts and just keep taking small baby steps. Keep reminding yourself that this is the best medicine. Being around other people and focusing your thoughts on something for you. Sending prayers
