I never thought one month ago I would be on this website reading and posting about my beloved Jim. I come here at night because it helps me connect with all of you who are going thru the same thing called grief. All though it has been only since Oct 25 that Jim passed, it seems like the pain is deepening, especially with the dreaded holidays upon us. I graduated from medical assisting school in July and I have an interview tomorrow, I hope I get the job because I could then throw myself into work just to keep busy and not feel so lonely. Thanks for listening.

Kadji, Here is praying that you get that job...approaching the holidays is an even worse time to lose someone-not that there ever is a good time...and the tandem of shorter days and longer nights seems to punctuate our loss, at least for me it does. I never thought I would be here either, but I am grateful to have somewhere to share and care...best wishes, Alex

Thanks Alex that means a lot to me. Ahh yes the shorter days of winter are here too, just got dumped over a foot of snow here in Minnesota to top it off

Yes I cried all day about it because Jim would snow blow and shovel for me, and then my shovel handle broke and all I could do is get mad and cry for him not being here.

I am sorry Kadji...did the same here...made sure that her car was cleaned off...be a sad reminder when I don' t have to do it and only need a single path to the street...if it helps you're not alone... Lots of good, supportive people here...we're all broken to some extent...looking for some mending...please get some rest and go get that job tomorrow....Alex

My husband died on Oct 25th as well Kadji ...it hasn't snowed here yet but I have already imagined a scene much like the one you are describing...snow was on his list...until now

I hope you get the job as well...but just remember lots of change in a short window can be very hard for you...

I hope you have lots of family for the holidays..

I am so sorry for your loss. I had to resort to utube to get my snowblower going. My heating system is not working right. I live out in the country, no close neighbors. We will get through this one day one task at a time. Hugs to you

Oct 25th is a date that a bunch of us it seems have in common...hard to believe it will be 3 weeks this Saturday....
