So I'm sitting at my computer when all of a sudden my bird takes off and lands on my head with a large seed treat. He'd apparently planned to eat the thing in my head.

Made me smile, but I got him out. Told him no eating in your mother's head.

Reading this made me smile.

I have four pet parakeets. They have very large cages so for now they are happy there. They used to leave me 'presents' on my head LOL

I have a cockatiel, he loves getting tangled in my hair. However his favorite thing to do is sit on top of my foot, he stays there even when I walk.

That is funny. My son has a conger (sp) - looks like a small parrot. Jack is a guard bird. If anyone gets on the sidewalk heading to the front door he starts squawking very loud. He loves my DIL the best and she is his mom. Take care, Sandra

People often don't realize what true companions birds can be. I have a cockatiel that is a velcro bird - she sticks to me wherever I am around the house. But what I really love about her is she tells me every day "I love you, I love you baby girl!" Priceless :-))
