I work at the salvation army, Its the best job I have ever had. I love working with people and talking to them and helping them to not feel ashamed for needing help. Well the other day a family came in and got a bunch of toys for their kids for easter and the Mom was saying she needed base ball cleets for her son. I told her I had a pair of Bruces and if I could find them I would give them to her. I found them,they were right where they have been since he died. When I saw them and saw his #9 on them and I couldnt bear to part with them. My problem is I feel bad because I lied to her and told her I found them and they were a mess. She doesnt know Bruce has died and I didnt want to get into it with her. She is just a customer that came in to look for some cleets for her son because she cant afford to buy new. I feel bad because I have a perfectly good pair that I cant let go of. Any suggestions would help, Although I'm still not sure I can give them up.
PS. I have been able to give some of his stuff away, this just has a lot of memories.
