Is on PBS right now, I watch the bldgs from WA DC going by: White House (I was able to tour inside just before the first IRAQ war), Capitol Bldg and yards I walked across, the Monument, Arlington Cemetery, the Vietnam Memorial the Korean Memorial, and much more...

I think every American needs to go see these it changes you,
I am glad I had an opportunity twice to do so from WA State.

This concert is bittersweet listening to those actors that are talking about their suffering from IEDS while in Iraq etc...
And songs and honoring those who died and lived through war.
I thank you all that served and sacrificed for us.

Yeah, I saw the concert , and I agree with you Nicker. DC is an awesome place. The last time I was there, I wasn't a tourist, I was representing the town I worked for (Chamber of Commerce), to try to get it's own zip code!! Long story, and it didn't work, but we were able to have lunch with our Representative, and see his office!!! Very cool! Gives you a different perspective, and it made me feel like we all can be heard - a freedom we enjoy. It's overwhelming to hear of the sacrifice these men/women made / make to defend us and our freedom. Michele Obama and Jill Biden are also pointing out the crappy conditions that the military families endure - even today. The call to help them in the end is important. God bless them, and God bless America.

Yes God bless our military. My nephew is in the air force and while I'm proud of him I worry about his safety. It's great to be able to honor our fallen heros. I watched the show as well.

I also watched the concert, and it brought me to tears. We are a nation blessed with courageous men and women who answer the call to serve when needed. It is humbling to know that so many are facing such terror on a daily basis so that freedom will ring. Our grandson is in the Army, and I dread the day of his deployment. Blessings to all as we remember those who sacrificed so much for liberty. TJ

I love to visit Washington DC. My first visit to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was quite emotional - so many names. Like many other Vets I still wonder why I got back in one piece while so many didn't.

My heartfelt thanks to all who made the ultimate sacrifice to our country and to all those who are serving.
