I haven't made a post in a while, and I haven't really felt like writing, I love this website and have found many friends here and everyone is going through the same as I.
Well it was in April that I received a call from the people that did our renos to our bathroom, that my husband and I had done last year. They wanted to talk to Gary, well in all the phone calls I have taken since Gary passed I had forgotten about them. So I told them that Gary had passed October 18, 2016. Then the next thing they asked if they could stop by. So thinking to myself, I know we paid them so this is not why they were coming. I was really dumb founded as to why they wanted to come.
Well they arrived and they sat down and we chatted for a bit and I cried as I explained AGAIN to what had happened and how I was doing, sometimes I wish I had a recording of my story as I was getting tired of saying the same thing over and over and I always cried as I told it. I still do everytime I tell what happened.
Now the next thing that they told me had taken me by surprise, and I was glad I was sitting down. In our back yard we have this HUGE pine tree, but last year Gary noticed it was leaning so we got a few tree people over to look at the tree and all the companies that came here said the same thing.....it is leaning and it will fall one day, you should cut it down. We had thought well we better think about doing something about it as we don't want it to fall on the garage let alone our house. Well Gary passed away and I lost all thought about this tree and I really didn't care what happened after he passed, sometimes I even thought about I wish it would fall on the house and me so I could join my husband....I know stupid thoughts, right?
Well our anniversary is in August and last year Gary had said to me I have a surprise for you but it won't be here until next spring or summer.....so I thought great I have to wait for this surprise until next year. Well Gary passed away and I forgot all about it until that phone call, they came and sat and told me of the surprise Gary had planned for me. They were here to put it into place.
Where the tree was, he made plans for that time tree to be taken down and in place he had them build a gazebo that we were going to sit in all summer long. It is the most beautiful gazebo I could ever imagine. They redid my back yard so I didn't have to work so hard at keeping it up. Gary always wanted the best for me. Now the gazebo sits and I sit in it alone and with out my sweet Gary. It was hard for me to sit in there for the longest time, I would stand by the window and look at it and cry and cry and cry but didn't have the guts to go out and sit in it. I will be having a sign made next year that says LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE and I will have it hung on the gazebo. I will plant his favorite flowers (marigolds) every year. Maybe next year I will sit in it every day. The wind chimes he bought me is hanging on his gazebo. I miss him so much and I will never forget the final gift he gave me. Thank you my sweetheart.

I understand what you mean about not having the feeling to write.

Your husband is an angel; I agree. A thoughtful one too! What a beautiful gazebo you have! Sit there along with your beloved husband's very kind and wise soul, always he is nearby you for comfort. Your love is always powerful & a great companionship. Surely, he was a man of wise choices & strong vision. This gift is not only what you want and need, yet it influences happy memories of him, instinctively.
cυ∂∂ℓε υρ! And enjoy your time together ❣
