Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

My husband passed away on September 29th, I was in California on business and hadn't even been there for 24hrs when I got the call from the state patrol, he had went into cardiac arrest in his SUV on the way to work, they did get his heart started but he suffered brain damage due to lack of oxygen. I flew home and spent the week in the ICU with him but he did not wake up, I so wish he had woken up, he was my husband, my best friend and my everything. The only good thing that has come from this is he was able to donate his organs and save some lives. The past 2 weeks i have been in complete denial, I kept telling myself this is just a bad dream and I am going to wake up and it never really happened but yesterday we had his calibration of life and now it has hit that this is real. I am never going to talk, kiss, laugh or be able to do anything with him again, my heart is breaking and I miss him so much.

If you read some of the previous posts on this site, that might be of some help,
A very nice lady in this group had also mentioned griefshare.org where you enter your zip code

I miss him every Day, Night , every moment, when I can think and not working .
But we have to go on , your Love one would like that for You ,he wouldn't want to see you crying all the time .
I have that feeling also very often , I lost my husband 6 months ago , but He always disliked it when I cried , he said it makes me sad ,and you get wrinkles, joking always ...
So when I have such a moment, I think of his words and pull myself together ...
So I think of you and wish you all the strength to go on , think what he wants you to do ....
Big Hug from me and our son ( 6 years old )!
