For I, like you the empty bed was a hell of an adjustment. I have no answer for you on that one other than you just do it. The worst for me was the first time I stayed in a motel by myself. that was really strange but then a gain I survived. You will find that this journey is not fun but you will make it through by puting one foot forward at a time and letting it happen. No easy fix from me as i just toughed it out and cried, cried and cried. No crime there for you to work through your emotions as taht is what you have to do to move forward. Wish I had the short and easy but just know we understand and are by your side. (Males and Females) it hurt's like hell for all of us. Be assured you are not alone and we are thinging of you in your suffering. Big Hud! Dewman
Let everything just happen. Don't fight your feelings, your tears, your thoughts. Go with it and try to exist as best you can.
Everything will come together, in time. Take care of business, the paperwork and most of all YOU. Try to go out and breathe......I always forget to take those deep, deep breaths. They open up your airway and bring much need fresh oxygen to your whirling brain!
We're here for you if you just need to talk.
Warmly,
Roz
As for the bedroom . . . do what you feel is comfortable for you. You may decide to make adjustments in the coming future, or you may decide to re-invent self and move into a differing bedroom. As for showers, soaps, robes, etc . . . again, these are your decisions. They are not up to another's discretion to say what is right or wrong.
P.S. A "weak" person would not expose so much shared vulnerability as you have here. Kudos.
Sending lots of healing energy your way. This too shall pass . .

I lost my husband four years ago and I have learned to live life on my terms. I still have the last shirt he wore tucked away unwashed and I will never get rid of it or wash it. Do what you need to do for yourself. You are definitely not a weak person, weak people don't love so much or grieve so deeply.
Hugs,
Val.
