I talked with my old boss today, and she didn't know that my S I L had talked to the owner. If she was fibbing it's ok as I'm in a better mind set now. We will talk again the first of the week and if it's meant to be it will happen. I think I was being pulled to the dark side and wasn't aware, so I hope you can forgive me for being testy Dschwartz. I'm my self again and plan on staying that way. I much prefer the bright side. Thank you all for your kind words and support. I will look at all sides from now on, like I used to. My in laws are loving, caring, people who make mistakes just like me, and I choose to believe that because I love them too. Weather I go back to my former employer or move on to something else I'll make it work as I believe what you said Sandra. God always answers my prayers, I just have to look through the tears. Today is a new day.

They may have stepped on your toes but there are things to consider. Do you need a job or a better job? Will the money be to your benefit? With this in mind I agree with those that think the employer would not hire you if he did not think you had something to offer. Jobs may be hard to find and if someone throws you a line sometimes it is best to reel it in and see what's on the other end. They may have meant well and knew about this job opening and knew you might be a good fit.

Hiskim, I am so happy to hear you are in a better place about the SIL's interference. We are so brittle and our minds don't seem to work the way they should. I too took great offense to something my daughter said a few weeks back about having a pitty party and it being all about attitude. I was crushed. But she had not intended it to be aimed at me and didn't realize that I took it that way. She was referring to how she chose to be on that day under her circumstances. So yes, It was my perception that was off, just glad we can communicate these things. It's no wonder I perceived it this way with how my brain has been working, or NOT working lately. If you want the job, and would enjoy it, by all means go for it. Hugs to you, Michele

I totally "get it" about feeling that something you shared privately was not just listened to and kept private. we have so much emotion, so many different issues to sort through... It is VERY hard for me to feel that if I confide anything in someone they mostly hear a problem that needs to be solved. or even HAS a solution. I need to be able to vent and not feel alone on a sandbar in what I feel. much of it has no solution. Or thing must wait. whatever...
There are always people who offer a FIX instead of just arms you can fall in.
