My second husband Mark passed away in March of 2013, he was 52, and we had been married for 16 years So... a two time widow here. Haven't heard from you in a while. I just happened to have stopped by to check on old friends and some new ones also. You moved a while back, right? If so, how are you adjusting? You have endured two losses in a short time. I can't imagine how difficult that has been for you. You are a strong lady with an unbelievable attitude of encouragement and kindness. Thank you, friend, for being willing to share in the midst of your losses. No one knows how hard that is to do until they personally experience it.

Take care and keep moving toward the light at the end of the tunnel.

Life is forever changing and trying to clear your head and move on not once but twice is to say the least a challenge..not sure if i said that right but i hope you understand. I have been widowed twice as well. My best friend is now my bed and finding energy to do anything or finding the want to do anything is ..challenging. Since my second husband died i have had to find a full time job and have been successful but i think there should be more..am not meaning in a finding another and even if i did i do not think my heart could take another loss.How are you coping?

Sharon; It’s good to see you back here. I know this must be a difficult time for you and although this site is not as active as it once was, I know how much you and all of the CLs helped me when I needed it the most. I still visit in the hope of being to help others. There is nothing like those who have been there to offer the understanding we so desperately need when we lose our loves. This time of year especially seems to intensify the loss. We can only offer acknowledgement and validation of our feelings but it helps immensely. Hoping you are finding some peace. Marybeth

Hello Sharon. Its been a long time for me too. Scott I see your back. You wrote some of the funniest things. Your first iron experience had me in tears. This is my 5th Christmas without my honey. I have moved on and I've dated several but only got serious with one. I do worry though about his health issues. I'm 4 years older than him but boy does he smoke and drink. I quit smoking years ago but you never know if my smoking days will come to haunt me later. I just know i'm cautious because going through a long slow death with my husband was very hard and I don't want to face this again. Scotty - need some funny stories not. Arlene

Sharon, it's been a while since I have been on site. The last time was when you posted about losing your second love. It has been seven years for me since I lost my Bob and posted for the first time on the wonderful old site. You were one of the first who reached out to me and held me up through those foggy, dark early days of this horrible journey.
