Saturday was 6 months. The hardest things for me are the constant reminders I call the missing magic, grief counselors call them secondary losses. The mail magically appeared on the kitchen table every day, now when I take it out of the box it reminds me of my loss. Food magically appeared in the refrigerator and the cupboards, now I go to the store and think of her absence. Clean clothes just showed up in the closet, now I tear up doing the laundry. Dishes washed themselves. I had no idea how much magic there was in my life until it was gone.
