Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

Be rest assured that the card was no coincidence at that particular moment. I do not believe there are coincidences in life. These things happen the way they are supposed to.
God bless and keep you - Debbie
I cried my eyes out.........put it on, and rushed back to the hospital . Even though he was not responsive in any way.....I opened his eyelids just in case he could see how happy I was....sounds crazy but it was important to me .........he had gone to get it theeee day before Christmas Eve.
I was so sad we didn't have Christmas together.our favorite time.......but then it would have been ...........why wasn't he here for New Year's Eve.............I would not have been content with anything less than "always and forever" which is what we used to say to each other..........
So I, like you. will treasure any special time I am blessed with a presence or situation .............
Thanks for sharing that with us..........blessings
Our anniversary falls in July and in the past 3 weeks I have been compelled to shop for a white gold anniversary band. It will accompany my original wedding band on my left hand, but replace my original engagement ring.
I had plans to buy myself a nice piece of jewelry every birthday, anniversary and Christmas (if finances permitted); however, an anniversary band? All I can say is that it was not my doing, but DH planted the seed in my brain to do the shopping.
Clearly he knows as well as I do that I will always belong to him as he does to me.
