I went to my first grief group last week and one of the things they stressed was memory loss, man, did I agree. If not for the reason, it would be funny. I have tried to make coffee without adding water, headed downstairs today to do laundry without the laundry, Put a plate on the counter for a meal only to see I had already put one there, attempted to empty the vaccuum cannister, put a new bag in the garbage can and wondered why I was changing the bag. In an attempt to have a bit of humour on this site, what are some of the funnier things you have done?
I must admit I am pleased to hear this is NORMAL! Hugs, Wendy

wow so this is all normal!my husband passed away 5/24 12 days later my mother passed away,my youngest child moved out to start a life of her own,i have so much going on i dont know were one thing ends and another begins,
i pick up the phone to call someone and forget the number i just dialed or who i was calling or why i was calling.i find it hard to compleat a sentence without forgetting what i was saying.

I had to add that earlier this afternoon I put some pumpkin seeds in the oven to toast and within a few minutes had forgotten that I put them in. I smelled something good and wondered what the neighbors were making, and then a little while later I smelled something bad and wondered what they were burning. I still didn't clue in that it was my seeds until the oven beeped to let me know that it was finished preheating. Now the whole place smells and half my seeds are charred. = (

Oh it sure is....I would look for my keys and they were in my hand.....
