Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

It’s going to take time for all of us, of course.. So glad you found a Grief Share that helped you.. I’ve been looking, but there’s nothing close to me right now.
I am glad to have found this place.. God bless you. You deserve amazing healing and happiness.
I try to plan something everyday anything, take one day at a time.
I wish u and all of us healing and happier days. It will get better.

I hope this helps. I am sorry for your loss, and the loss of your future plans. I know that one all too well. Cliff and I discussed all our plans for the future the night before he died of a heart attack - totally unexpected at the age of only 55. In moments, all our plans were gone. This is the only place where I found other people who really understood what exactly that meant. I hope being here helps you, and I hope you find a face-to-face group, too. Welcome.
Love and Hugs,
Martha
Thank you for sending the info on the groups.. But those locations are very far. i’m looking though..
Unbelievable that you and your husband were just talking about your plans .. Craig had just pointed out townhouses for us to look at and was actively looking for a home for us near the water..
i’m glad to have found this place too..

I understand your feelings concerning the future, but I can tell you it will not always be this way. It WILL get better. Not tomorrow, but soon, you'll start having good days and you'll see the hope that is in your future. I couldn't see a future for myself either, but God had better plans for me than I could tell. I am sure He does for you as well.
It's important that you rest as much as needed and that you take care of your health. Grief is exhausting. It drains you of energy. You can really only take one day at a time, and sometimes only one hour at a time; but you will get through this. I'm so sorry you have to walk this path, and I pray you'll feel God's comfort as you go.
