For the past year I've carried around a lot of excess weight. It's not the kind you can burn off in a health club, it's the burdens of life. I'd lost my husband, had a terrrible, argumentive father, and a job that never offered job security. So I was carrying this weight for the past year, and becoming downright tired from it. Funny thing if you looked at me you'd actually see the weight. It was in the way I walked--shoulders slumped forward, no energy.

When my husband was alive he would help me. He would listen to my fears of losing my job and tales of my father. But once he was gone, I carried this weight by myself. Finally a month ago it became too much for me to bear and I ended up in ER. I survived, but it struck me that I'd allowed all this excess weight to drive me to the doctor. It's not right. It's dangerous and it can kill you.

So, I did the only thing I could do. I turned it over to God and I left it there. Now, I'm feeling good. I've stopped talking to negative people and started listening to what God wants for me. He wants me to be healthy. And so I am.

So, I've lost weight. And it's the best weight loss program I've ever been on.
