Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I could not imagine having to hold it together for those sweet children.
It can be a very lonely walk, but the folks here are wonderful and we are all in this together.
Hugs
Jen
I am so very sorry for your loss. It is the most difficult thing to go through. You have the blessing of have your 4 little granddaughters to take care of. You are strong !! You reached out, here for support and encouragement.
Cry all you need, my grandchildren cried with me. They seem just "to know".....and yours, will "know" too.
We are all here to lift you up, when you need us,
Have a peaceful Goodnight..........Big hugs......Sandra
You've come to the right place. The people here are supportive and kind. We all know how heartbroken you are, we've all walked this journey.
One day at a time, that's all we can do.
Hugs,
Janie

I lost my wife in febuary and everything seems to remind me of her, it is a tough road to be on
It's a roller coaster and will change everyday.....Hold on, don't be afraid, you're not alone!
Much Love,
Roz
I also wanted to let you know about another group here at Daily Strength that you might want to add to your groups. It is called "Grandparents Raising Children" and might be good for you to get some support and feedback on the things you are facing with the kids as time goes on. Here is a link so you can find it:

I also wanted to let you know that the kids' school may be able to help with giving them some counseling. My younger son was still in school when my husband died, and my son received his counseling for free through the school psychologist and the school guidance counselor. I know school is about to end for the year, but it might be worthwhile to talk with them anyway.
When you are ready, there are other things we can recommend that might help, but I thought I would pass that info on to you now. I am sorry you need any of this! I understand the shock, the fear, the loneliness, and all the rest of it. Cliff died of a massive heart attack with no warning. I was only 50, and I became a single parent to two autistic sons in moments. I wasn't ready for that. Bit by bit, with a lot of help here, I rebuilt my life, and we came through it. You will, too.
Love and Hugs,
Martha
