sad day, lost first his cat, now his dog within two weeks.. Big hole in my heart. Today went to a shelter and got a brother and sister cat, filling a bit of that hole. Darn, its tough.

Losing a pet is such a terrible loss. We lost three wonderful furbabies within a year. The last one while my husband was at the hospital for the last time. Just crushing. He had told me he would like to get another puppie in August. We had no idea he would pass away in April. Call me silly, but I am searching for that little black and tan weenie dog puppy to fill his wish and help the hole in my heart. I still have two dogs and they are wonderful. And yes, our pets are family too. And so easy to love. Hugs, Michele

I'm so sorry you lost your fur baby. It is good to divert your grief with new fur babies to fill the void. When Bob died, shortly after I lost one of my older dogs! I was so sad, we had Molly for 12 years, but glad she was out of her misery. I figured that I just sent her to Bob!! I immediately went and got a 6 week puppy to divert my grief. It was the best thing I purchased since he passed!! he is truly the joy of my life!!

I am so sorry for the loss of your dog. I have posted here several times that my dogs and cat have been my salvation. I don't know what I would do if something happened to one of them right now. I can only hope my animals get anywhere near 20 yrs old. I have a Bernese Mountain dog and unfortunately there lifespan is about 7-8 years I'm told. He is 7 but healthy.

My pawfectly wonderful, adorable main boy "Horton" [95lb Black Lab] has been by my side when Morey passed and then when my 14 year old Black Lab "Brenda" passed. He has proven himself to be an amazing furpartner. I don't know what I would have done if he were not in my life.

Horton is now 6 and I'm hoping that we get a lot more time together.

I'm so sorry for your loss and am so glad that you adopted more glorious furbabies to fill your heart and soul.

Truly sorry for your loss. My dog was 6 months old when my wife passed. So he has traveled the whole journey with me. I dread the day he is gone to. Sending a big hug your way.
