loss of my soul mate

It has been a little over a month since my Fiancee, Danny died. The loss I feel is so acute that there are days I don't want to get out of bed. My friends have been very supportive and trying to keep me busy but being around them (they are all married) is harder then being alone. Danny was my soul mate. When will this start to get better? I want him back or I want to be with him. I am so lost without him. The house seems so quiet and so empty without him. I don't know how anyone lives through this.

Jennifer, it has been 129 days since I lost my beautiful wife of 20 years. She was young and it was a sudden shocking death. We never really talked about dying we didn't even have a will. However we did talk about if something happened to either one of us we wanted the other to stay in the house/home we both built together and loved. Although as many have said it is tough and painful with all the memories but I can't imagine being anywhere else right now. We didn't have kids but we did have 2 giant dogs and a cat I couldn't imagine uprooting them and causing them more stress as they were her babies. You hear baby steps a lot here but it's true it's as if I am living by the minute and don't know what the next one will bring but so far I am surviving and I hope you do too. "This too shall pass".

I am also sorry for your loss. Even though it has been a year, like I have posted before, it seems like yesterday. Larry was my Soul mate for 38years & we were just intertwined together.

I wish like others, that I had easy answers, but there's not.
Joining Daily Strength has certainly helped & have found so much
comfort from others. It's a journey like none other.

I am so sorry for your loss. My fiance' died on April 9th. We had known each other 35 years ago and had come back together realizing we were, indeed, soul mates. I have found such support here from this site from people who have walked this path as you and I are doing now. Their wisdom, support and 'been there's' are very helpful. I send you Love and Light and can tell you that you are indeed not alone. We may never know why our loves were taken from us, leaving us here to figure things out and move forward but at least we know that we are not the only ones. Hugs to you, dear. -Becca
