I have a passport too and would love to go...Italy sounds great and just the other day I was thinking England would be fun too. My daughter and I want to go to Greece but now I am not sure it is a good idea with all the trouble they have been having.

I would love to be in on a women's travel club, It is hard to find someone who wants to travel, and I do not want to go alone.

Cindy, what type of bus did you tour on? I mean, was it a nice bus? I went on a tour to NY with a group once and hated the bus we were on!! I knew the people on the bus, and we had a good time, but, I never want to be on a bus like the one I was on again. I'm certain there have to be much better buses than the kind I was on!! LOL

I saw Letters to Juliet and fell in love with Italy - again. Have lived in Europe but never got to Italy. Seems like there's lots of interest... with so many of us wanting to go, we should all share our research and plan for a group trip next year...

The bus tour I took with Globus to Ireland for two weeks was wonderful. The bus had a clean rest room and was very nice. I have information that I will post when JT and Debbie get their information. So far I have found 7 trips to Italy starting with just a trip to Rome for 5 days (two for flying) for $800 plus airfare. The biggest trip is 12 days and goes to Rome, Orviewto, Tuscany, Florence, Venice, Pompei, Naples, Capri and Sorento. That runs $2500 plus airfare. All kinds of options. Airfare from the midwest runs around $1500. Affordable tours also books Globus tours and at times has a 40% discount if booked early. If there is enough interest, I can look into a group discount. KT is researching the trip. She is a definite for 2011 as well as I. AJ seemed to be also. Once the two or three of us are solid on "the" trip, the details and price will be posted. If you want and can go at that time, the information will also be provided as to where to contact to book your reservation.

Since this site has so many members, and so many ladies deeply interested in traveling, we can't possibly entertain everyone's ideas, research, etc. The main focus here is "simplify". God knows we all have enough confusion in our lives as it is.

So, ladies, please be patient with us and stay tuned. Keep looking for a new discussion regarding our 2011 vacation destination. Who knows? This may turn into a lifelong thing.

I would love to travel. I would stay in the states until my youngest graduates HS and can be without mom for a couple of weeks. keep me in mind for cruises too!! That sounds like fun I also belong to AAA and they have made all of my travel arrangements for my business and personal travel this past year.

Count me in. I would need to give my office plenty of advance notice, but I am up for a trip anywhere.

I too would love to travel with a group. My husband and I have traveled extensively before he became ill with ALS. We always enjoyed every place we went.

My husband and I loved to travel as well. I miss our RV and the cruises we took. I would love to go to Italy or England. I have my own business and am tied up from January through June but would love to participate the rest of the year.

I forgot to mention that Travel of America is a great place for cruises and tours. They get group rates because they book people from all over. My husband and I booked all our cruises but one through them. They pick you up at the destination airport, get you to your hotel and to and from the docks for departure and unboarding at the end of a cruise. Many fo their trips include or can add a pre or post cruise hotel stay and tours. Airfare is often included in the pricing.

Frank and I traveled all the time. This October will be the Fall Break (I teach) that I have stayed home...we always took a trip somewhere.....usually to Colorado.

I would give consideration to a trip. It would depend on the cost and the time of year. Keep me in mind.

I have always wanted to see England, do a cruise (we had hoped to an Alaskan cruise next summer) , and I have not toured all the States yet. Las Vegas was on my list to do!

Las Vegas is a 4-5 hr drive from my home. I attend tax seminars there every May.

Count me in!! My husband and I loved to travel and that is something I know I will really miss a lot.

I'd love to go to Italy,.. we went with his college on a tour thru Italy... what a great place.
Kaua'i was our favorite island, we'd go there every year.

Thank God! Have been praying for something like this. My husband had no interest in traveling outside the USA but I've always wanted to get over the pond to England, Ireland, Italy, France,Germany.. Count me in and I'll keep eye out for posting. Haven't been to Las Vegas but could make it. I have way too much free time on my hands...let me know if there's anything I can help with.
