Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
My husband, Pete, died suddenly 19 months ago and you do find a way through it (you never 'get over it'). You never stop loving or missing but I think it changes to gratitude and honor. Because these scars and the pain are the cost for loving truly and deeply....the alternative is to not have such a reason for feeling the pain.
Coping @ times is difficult but you can do it...
Unanswered questions, obstacles that challenge us...
Tears will come, the feeling of a pit in our stomach
Little steps...
Our journey is now intertwined with grief
But, there is a tomorrow with hopes
A future with dreams
Give yourself time....
It has been 3 years for me, the highs & lows have leveled
New responsibilities arisen, asking for help
It's a different kind of life
Keep the faith
