Highway 410 has flooded/washed out rdway @several of our creeks, I am here to stay supposed to crest tomorrow afternoon. Its been raining cats & dogs. Neighbors borrowed my horse trailer (I have a big one) to move horses out of flooded area. Elderly neighbors are moving their motor home up to my place - I have higher ground.

I put photos of my pond which is 3X bigger than before.
Lights flickered but stayed on, no internet for awhile or phone so if I do not gab as much I normally do send a prayer for no more water.

Quack Quack my mallard & his lady are not even out, I hope their nest did not get flooded...

Hopefully, you are not alone, or/and your neighbors are close by, for when it crests tomorrow. How scarry, hard to stay calm, but, please try. Please post when you can, to let us know that you are okay.

Moved a few sets of horses knee deep in water, helped w/moving some vehicles to my place, took photos til rds got closed due to being wiped out, I am on a high bench.
Put some photos on here too....
Next few days will be helping those flooded out of their homes along river, & getting around roads washed out. I have lots of food, & am safe. Got a generator if power goes out.

I am hoping we don't flood as I live in South Louisiana and they opened the flood gates and we are expecting to see the water by Thursday. And then hurricane season starts June 1. This is gonna be a rough few months. Especially having to tend to everything without my John. Sending prayers your way and stay safe. Tink

Thoughts and prayers are being sent your way and to all in the path of the Mississippi River flooding. At least crises bring people together when they offer to help with what they have and to share food, labor, etc. Keep us posted. Nicker, you are so good to help others to your high ground.

Oh my gosh! Just looked at your photos! WOW! Please stay safe and keep us posted. I hope everything goes well and you are able to stay safe and dry. Keeping you and our other friends here in my prayers for safety.

@Martha THANKS your prayers keep them going, its working! supposed to have more downpour - NAda so far, river supposed to crest Tues afternoon 3 highest in record.
Two side bridges to homes were damaged - 1 moved 2' off foundation, 1-buckled people can walk across them, brave (goofy too) souls drove & moved cars elsewhere.
But w/winds things keep rising altho' not as fast w/o rains. I am staying home will go to church to help when needed.
I see in paper Louisana people expecting flooding w/ levees opened up....keep safe....

Wow, those photos are scary! Hope you and your neighbors are doing ok, must be hard to wait for the cresting. Teaches us all we should have our pantries stocked up just in case. Keep safe.
