"Love doesn't have a happy ending" you are so correct, but I'd do it all over again with Ray even knowing the pain I am in now. It hurts but was well worth loving him and he loving me. Sad I never really thought about our love until he died, it just was. That man really loved me! I was blessed to have had him in my life!

If you google a grief observed by C.F Lewis, you will find 87 quoted by him on this subject. Some I relate to, some I do not. I believe one of his is, "No one ever told me that grief felt so much like fear". Boy to I relate to this one. pj

I don't really feel fear... Just plain sorrow. Sadness.. If I dropped dead right now, I wouldn't fear it. I would be going to be with my Wanda. As for living, there's nothing really for me to fear. Fear cripples people. It crippled her, somewhat. She was forever worrying about things outside of her control. That may have contributed to her death.

I'll never know.

I, by nature, am not a "fearful" person. I grab this life by it's horns and sometimes I have to hang on so damn hard that I'm blistered and sore but I won't let IT take me down.

I, like many of you, have had to face many challenges and some of them scared me to death. But, nothing, nothing has challenged me as much as the loss of Morey. There's so many parts to losing a partner. I am the sum of all those parts.

I thought I was NOWHERE in my struggle to survive his death, I felt as if I was drowning and soon realized that I am NOW-HERE! I am that struggle, I am that loss, I am that pain, I am the turmoil.......I am NOW HERE to face it all, to survive it!

I have not idea where I read this, but the quote is "If you're walking through hell, keep walking". I'm pretty sure that is what we are all doing. pj1952
