It was one month ago yesterday that I lost the love of my life. I am getting past the anger, but now as crazy as it sounds, my feelings are hurt. God has hurt me and I don't know how to get past that. I am back at work, but the evenings are terrible and the weekends are worse. Everyone else has moved on and I feel like I am stuck. I am just lost, don't know how to handle being so lonely.

I just lost my husband so I have no advice, but I just wanted to send my support. I am fearful of the loneliness. I think in some ways I am still in disbelief. I don't want to be alone and the thought of it can really put me in diapair. So I am trying not to think too far ahead. Many many thoughts and prayers of comfort for you.

Evenings and weekends are very difficult for me. Any downtime I have just allows my mind to wander. I don't know if there is any good answer. There is a loneliness that exists even when surrounded by people. Hugs and prayers

I'm up to three weeks now since I lost the love of my life. I wonder if I will always count the weeks. I can relate to all these comments so glad I stumbled on this website. Grief is an emotion like no other. It does creep up on you when least expect it. Loneliness bothers me too and as someone else has said, you can get several visitors or phone calls per day and yet still feel so alone. I do believe that I will see my husband again one day and try to hang onto that promise. xx

Finding Daily Strength, Widow and Widowers was a lifesaver for me. Here you will find others that suffer their loss as you have yours and will find comfort in sharing your grief. Those whose loss came before yours will encourage you, those whose loss is as current as yours will share their thoughts and pain and you will realize you are not alone, not the only one. I am sorry you feel God hurt you, it is easiest to blame Him for your loss and pain. I prayed for strength and guidance and tried not to blame Him. There is no easy way to go through grief, we all do so in our own way and our own time. One day you will review entries in your journal or will respond to someone here that is newly joined and you will realize your progress but one month is still so very fresh. I pray that God comfort you, don't give up faith.

Thank you everyone for the words of comfort. I just get through one minute at a time.

I feel your pain and loneliness. I lost my love less than two months ago. I just want you to know that you are not alone. There are people out there that are going through the same thing. I still cry almost everyday and still cannot understand why he was taken. Just hold on to the sweet memories and maybe we can get through this together.

All of us here understand your pain. In the beginning you just go minute by minute then as times goes by it's hour to hour. Soon you may have 1 day that you are ok for awhile. More time, maybe 2 not horrible days. After a while it may be week to week. Then you may go back a few steps and have a few awful days again. It's such a rollercoaster. But at 14 months I can say it does change and the pain is not as severe. Some days are worse than others but you do survive and find your way. Never what we want , which is to have them back with us, no question this totally sucks, but you do go on. Do what you need to find support and strength to get through your day. Bereavement groups may help, finding people who will listen and just be with you. I wish you peace on your journey. Remember that the love never dies.

Its the thinking and thinking ...drives me insane. I try to do meditation and breathe ..Anguish Totally..my feelings about everything changes by the second.I am trying to listen to me and no one else. I feel so alone. People avoiding you, now that one makes me feel uncared for, then my "new" voice in my head whom i think is a angel possibly tells me why would your family Not love you ? Think of that she says to me..then i see my grown children and they turn their backs to me and i feel Weird/Strange around everybody except for strangers.

your not alone,I lost my boyfriend three weeks ago and my life is still hell,i cry every single day and ask God why?every time even though I know I won't get answers, the worst part is you have to act strong when your with people around you but once your alone you think of the memories, the emptyness like a very big hole in your heart,I tell you my life is soo empty, and the loneliness creeps in and you think why didn't I just die with him,so don't feel alone we are all struggling through this together

That is exactly how I feel...thinking and thinking and oh so lonely. I still cry every day and ask God why and I too ask why him? Why didn't you take me? I will be glad when Christmas is over.
