Do any of you experience this like I do? I can be going along about daily mundane things and all of a sudden it hits. He is really gone he is not coming back! The feeling it leaves afterwards can hardly be explained. It has been 4 months now and I thought my brain would have grasped this by now. Everytime it happens it is like I just found out that he has passed away.

omg, sister, this is so true. Sorry i just came across your post. When i'm driving and i think, "hes really gone" it just overtakes me. And that's when i really want to go visit his grave and i cant because i'm thousands of mile away. Sorry that this is a little morbid, but i also think about his body now in that coffin and can't wrap my head around that fact that he's bones now. This once vibrant man. But, like you, i let it pass and I accept it. It's hard letting go. I hope i didn't offend anyone with my feelings about his body. I'm sorry if I did but it is a thought that goes through my head at times. I think it forces me to deal with reality.

It's been 4months&1week and it happens to me every day. I'm sure it will get better some day. Just want to feel better sooner rather than later.

I would describe the feeling afterwards as emptiness. That's how I feel everytime it "hits me" as you say. Just empty. No hope. Everything's gone.

It's been almost a year since my husband died. He was an entertainer and every time I hear a song he used to sing I break down. I just got my license to sell real estate and I know he would have been. so proud of me. I wish I would have had him with me to celebrate. It is better but it will never go away.

It's been seven months as of tomorrow and i still have that feeling sometimes that it just happened. Any minute now I expect her to come around the corner with her usual smile. I know she won't, but it's what I wish, I suppose.

I actually called him one day, when I was almost in an accident, coming back from the store. Then I realized that he is gone, and I have to worry about me now. That is a scary feeling. But, as time goes by, it seems to get a little easier, but not much. The loneliness is something new for me, not depressed, just lot of alone time. It helps to talk about it though. Good luck to you and everyone out there that has lost someone.
It is had to forget someone who gave so much to remember. I never will.
