Been 2 yrs 2 mo.for me. Usually okay when I am busy or have people around. Alone tonight and missing him. Will this always hurt like this. How many years will it take to feel happy again. Sorry to be so down tonight but does anybody else feel like this?

I feel you grow to see the circumstances through a new perspective as you work through the loss. Some leave the group or post less frequently because as they heal others new pain discourages them. To others, we see the pain and see the healing in ourself.

I used to cry when seeing a couple our age on a motorcycle. My thought was that should be us. It took a long time to get past that lingering ache of loss. I used to see new members and feel devastated for their pain. Those thoughts have now matured. I see devastation change to support, sometimes rather quickly and other times more slow and steady. It warms my heart.

The pain is never forgotten, but deluted with thankfulness for what we were so fortunate to have had. Sharon

I will tell you if I ever reach the "No more hurting" time. Meanwhile, I CAN tell you that the pain is not so intense, and you begin to see that you never needed 4 eyes to see beauty, nor two mouths to sing and laugh xxxx You still have you, and you have always been complete and whole. I never did see anyone as "my other half" but rather as one who walked beside me, and I feel her presence still.

I'm so sorry your feeling down, but I love Sue's idea, why don't you share with us stories of you and George. It's always so wonderful to hear those.
