Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Love and sympathy,

I hope the hospice counselor was able to help. It really helped me. Just talking it out helps and he/she can give you some coping skills. They are just a phone call away and should be available to you for at least a year. And it doesn’t cost you anything! So please take advantage of it! There are also grief sharing groups that he/she can help you locate. This helps too.
I also, at first, didn’t care about anything. I felt numb, in a fog, crying at every little thing, unable to eat, unable to sleep, then sleeping 12 hours at a time, just sitting all day doing nothing. Just make yourself do something, anything. Go out for a five minute walk. Go to church. Make a list of things you need to get done and try to do one a day. Study some bible scripture and a daily devotion.
I understand what you are feeling and I care. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you hugs....Linda
