I've got to be Santa now......

It's our first Christmas without Ric, we miss and love him every day, and in particular right now as I've got to sneak about getting Thoms presents out, fill the stocking, get the new bike out of the shed, eat three mince pies, drink a glass of milk, chew on three carrots, and sprinkle glitter all over the floor! Cos that's what Ric would do, and yes I wasn't too pleased about the glitter in the carpet last year, but it's got to be done! Merry Christmas to you all, my new understanding world x

Maybe you should hold off eating those 3! mince pies, as you will be too sick tomorrow..

My 6 grandchildren just left. House looks like a tornado hit it, but those kids are what keeps me going.

I've just finished doing it! You were right Debi, I didn't bother with the mince pies! Just drank the milk, and it's only glitter, so it's everywhere!! Edithbath, if I didn't have Thom I'd have given up long ago, but I carry on for him, and Ric would be proud of us both x Merry Christmas to you both :) x

Two of my kids and their families totalling 5 grandkids just left also---part of them will be back tomorrow. Lots of fun but the house is awfully quiet now. Will see the other 4 grandkids on Wednesday after Christmas--will have three of them the rest of the week. I'll be tired but will be wonderful to have them here. The rest of this evening is going to be very quiet and lonely though.

I know, I'm wide awake, I cant sleep! I'm excited for when he wakes up, he's at the age when he soooo believes! I told him before he went to sleep that I heard Santas bells, and he was like " really, did you really, are u sure it wasn't the bell on the cats collar?!" so he soon went to sleep xx

Sounds like it will be a glitery Christmas at your house! Thomas will love it. Some traditions have to be kept.

Yes, Thoms there IS a Santa claus!!! it's your wonderful LOVING MOTHER! SHHH!!! don't worry, no one will tell him though!!! ;-)

I hope that when he wakes, the SMILES on his face will be in your heart as they are also RICS smiles coming through that wonderful lucky little boy!

Yes, I know what you mean. I did it all by myself for the second year in a row. I kept thinking he would be doing this, he would be making that, he would be taking care of that for me.....It is so hard without them. But, it must be done and we are strong, we can do it. Your son is lucky to have such a wonderful mom. Merry Christmas to you....Dawn

Thank u all for your Xmas wishes. We spent most of the day building Lego heroes, Thom informed me that daddy would have built them quicker, i wasnt offended, he was right and now there's still more to do tomorrow! Then we went to the park to send Xmas balloons up to the sky to Ric. Hugs xx
