Sorry for your loss, you answer as honestly as you can. i don't understand why in love couples lose their love ones and the other others don't , it is not fair. Life is not fair at times, many times, but for some reason people like us are selected to carry on, we must be the stronger ones and there must be a purpose for us to be on this earth, perhaps to provide guidance and support for others?

I really have no answer to your question. I considered my husband to be the best gift the Lord ever gave me other than my salvation. Why I lost him so suddenly from a massive heart attack I don't know. I only lost him four months ago, but it's going to be a lonely life without him. I have to go on but I don't know how at this point.

Thanks for your replies. I feel like I am the only one that loved so much and lost my best friend, but out here, I realize that I am one of many. I really don't know how I made it through the first year, I think I was in a ''coma'' and just went about my chores, I couldn't wait to get back to work so I could keep my mind occupied. Now I am retired and try to keep my mind occupied but it keeps on wandering. I'm glad that I found this support group, but I don't know how to answer others that are hurting. I'm not the greatest with figuring things out even though I worked on a computer for 30 years. What do I click on to respond to others that are in this support group?

I agree that it seems like some of the happiest couples are cheated out of the years they should have had together. My husband and I were very happy together and our story ended prematurely. I figure that what we had together was more than most people get and well, I guess you just don't get everything. We didn't get a chance to grow old together. We got a chance to grow middle-aged together and I guess that's all we got.

It is 5 months today that my husband passed away. It has been very hard. I miss him so much. It is getting a little better. I wonder if we hear on this site from mostly people who have had a harder time than those who have been able to heal faster and move on. I guess I am looking for a glimmer of hope that it will get better. When will this pain lessen? The anxiety and not feeling normal . Anxiety when things go wrong in the house about things that he used to take care of..
I wanted this to be a new post but had trouble doing that . So I am replying to a post. Sorry about that . I think I will always miss him , but want to feel normal. Thanks
