I miss Meredith a lot and I do crave her hugs. At this point though still not rushing to fill that hug spot in my life. Each time our daughter hugs me I see her in Kaitlyn. Wow ok this is an emotional topic lol
But my story is different hug. Local (remember I live in rural area) everyone knows everyone and a local guy who lost his wife 3 years ago gives me a hug that almost surrounds me. Says hi how are you doing. I never did like it - he has taken to drinking. Well last hug he propositioned me - about how we need sex etc etc SO next time he tried I flipped his arm off me and said no more
I get lots of hugs from both women and men but it's not the same. And I miss just being able to put my head on his shoulder or feel his arm around me.
I was at a church event today. I received lots of hugs. But then I was sitting talking with someone. A gentleman old enough to be my father - - I'm friendly with both him and his wife - came behind to give me a hug and check on me. For some reason I didn't get out of my seat. He put his arm around me and I kind of leaned into him. He just kind of rubbed my back and massaged my shoulders a minute. It wasn't weird it was comfortable and comforting. And I thought how much I miss that.
